In an unprecedented move aimed at fostering a stronger partnership between the school, parents, and alumni, the newly elected President of the Ajebo Community High School Old Student Association, Engr. Adebayo Joda, successfully hosted a landmark meeting bringing together hundreds of parents, alongside the school principals and teaching staff. The meeting focused on combating the rising concerns of indecent dressing and social vices among the student body, signaling a proactive step toward safeguarding the school’s values and nurturing student welfare.


This historic gathering, the first of its kind in the school’s history, symbolizes a new era of collaboration between the Old Student Association and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). The event attracted a large turnout, reflecting the deep concern and shared commitment of all stakeholders to create a disciplined, respectful, and safe environment conducive to learning and moral development.


Engr. Adebayo Joda was accompanied by his executive team, including Vice President-Elect Mrs. Rachel Ike, Public Relations Officer-Elect Oyewunmi Omolara, Project Director-Elect Engr. Seyi Enisemo, Ijaduoye Olasunkanmi, and stakeholders Hon. Bisi Oyemade and Mr. Jamiu Ologbowon. Together, they underscored their collective dedication to the association’s mission and the community’s welfare.







During the meeting, Engr. Adebayo Joda delivered an impassioned address to the parents, teachers, and school leaders, emphasizing the indispensable role of parents in shaping the character and future of their children. He called on parents to reinforce discipline, respect, and strong moral values at home, underscoring that students are not only learners but the future leaders and custodians of society. His message was clear: a collaborative community effort is essential to steer the youth away from negative influences and social vices that threaten their growth and potential.


The school principals and staff shared valuable insights into the challenges faced within the school environment, outlining existing measures and proposing new strategies to reinforce school policies, particularly concerning dress code and behavioral standards. These include intensified monitoring, expanded counseling programs, and a series of awareness campaigns designed to educate students on the long-term consequences of poor choices. In a culturally significant gesture, Engr. Adebayo Joda also used the opportunity to visit the royal father of Ajebo, HRH Oba R. O. Oluwole, to formally invite him as the Royal Father of the Day for the inauguration week activities. This visit highlights the critical role of traditional leadership in community cohesion and lends cultural gravity to the association’s events, strengthening the link between modern educational efforts and longstanding community traditions.


Looking ahead, the President-Elect pledged an inclusive and transparent leadership style during the upcoming inauguration scheduled for Saturday, 14th February 2026. He promised to engage all members of the Old Student Association, ensuring that voices from every corner of the alumni community are heard and valued. His vision encompasses fostering unity, promoting active participation, and championing initiatives that benefit both the school and its extended family of alumni, parents, staff, and students.


The meeting concluded with a unanimous consensus on the importance of sustained collaboration among the school’s administration, parents, alumni, and students. Plans were set to hold regular follow-up meetings, workshops, and community outreach programs to maintain momentum and achieve lasting progress.
