Ijebu Youth Parliament shun Engr Olusegun Lawal



 ALLEGED DEMOLITION OF OGD'S DATKEM PLAZA: A CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY; IJEBU YOUTH PARLIAMENT 


The  attention of the National Leadership of Ijebu Youth Parliament has been drawn to a publication on the above subject matter authored by one Eng. Olusegun A. Lawal

(Self-styled Baale of Erebe Ijebu near Omu in Odogbolu Local Government of Ogun State) and as stakeholders hereby register a few but necessary submissions on the matter


1. While it is the inalienable right of our amiable Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District and former Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD)  and members of his family to build any complex of their choice such a right is subject to extant approval and regulatory frameworks of the Ogun State Governmen


2. Ogun State Government issuance of demolition notice on a high density 5-storeys building erected on a half -plot less than 350m2 land after four (4) previous regulatory notices spanning over one year deserves commendation as an indication of not shying away from it's responsibility of ensuring that every building in the state does not constitute health, environmental and life threatening risk


4. To have rushed to the media and describe a building with closed gate, fence and main structure intact as demolished is height of mischief and misinformation in a fraudulent attempt to weep up public sympathy   and blackmail the Governor and the entire Ogun State Governmen


4. If there is no existential justification for the notice issued the builders should have make their approval documents available to relevant agencies and the public rather the resort to cheap blackmai


5. We wish to state for a fact that the allegation that the Ogun State Government demolished the building from 3am on Sunday, 10th September, 2023 is a poorly rehearsed self packaged scheme similar to that of the painting of OGD posters campaign notice boards prior to 2003 election

6. Checks on the author of the publication, one Engr. Olusegun Abayomi Lawal, who is the main contractor, Project Manager and Developer of the huge building under review shows that he is neither a certified Engineer nor Developer but a quack Secondary School lever from Omu Ajose Comprehensive High School, Omu Ijebu. For the records, a quack is anyone who dishonestly claims that he/she has acquired the requisite training/knowledge in a particular field but has no certification or licence. Such a person is fake, fraudulent and has no integrity to deliver the expected standard on any project given him/her. It is important to let the world know that this is not the first instance in which Segun Lawal will be parading himself as having qualifications which he does not possess. He was recently  imposed on a Community beside Omu called Erebe Ijebu through the instrumentality of OGD and some vested interests as Baale vide fraudulent creation of an aegis "SANGOKOYA" to supplant the customary owners of Erebe town, the OLOJA ADEKOYA OFIRIGIDI ANIKINAIYA FAMILY, hence his disregard of extant customary laws of the state to be issuing politically motivated statements


7. We hereby call on the state government not to be discouraged from it's efforts to keep our state free from poorly constructed buildings and save our people from the menace of collapse buildings and it's antecedent loss of lives and propertie
