APPEAL COURT CLEARED HON. ADEBIYI ADEWALE ADELEYE FOR SUBSTANT



The Appeal court, Ibadan Division Presided over by Hon. Justice Moore Adumein has on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 granted the substantive hearings of the APC application for appeal against the two judgment of Justice O. Oguntoyin of Federal High Court, Abeokuta which disqualified Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye as Candidate of the party in the forthcoming general election and ordered Solomon Osho as valid candidate for APC to Represent Remo North State constituency at the State House of Assembly.


The lead Counsel for APC Adetunji Osho Esq announced the appearance of his team and moved the motion for adoption of the application of appeal while the counsel for the 1st respondents (Solomon Osho), Rasaq Okesiji Esq, announced his appearance and his team. 


The lead Counsel for the APC Adetunji Osho Esq and Chukwudi Maduka Esq. presented their Brief Arguments, Affidavits, Counter Affidavit, as well as a Preliminary Objections. All motions in respect of the application were treated and considered by the court.


However, the 1st Respondent, Osho, was represented by the trio of Rasaq Okesiji Esq, Ajibola Kaka Esq and Adepeju Adeniran Esq.


Solomon Osho had filed a motion seeking the court to reject the counter brief filed by APC and Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye but in the wisdom of the court, the court decided that all motions will be treated alongside the substantive matter


Hon. Justice Moore Adumein then adjourned the Judgement for a date to be announced later.
